About the Pinterest video pin size
Pinterest video pins work best full-screen vertical at 1080 by 1920 pixels, 9:16, the same frame as a Reel or TikTok, which makes it easy to reuse a vertical master across all three. The length limit is where most guides get it wrong. Pinterest's Pin specs document an organic video Pin as 4 seconds minimum and 5 minutes maximum. The widely repeated 4 seconds to 15 minutes under 2 GB is the ad spec, and it does not apply to a normal Pin. Pinterest accepts a wide range of ratios but recommends square or vertical for video, since those take up the most room in the tiled feed. A 2:3 export at 1000 by 1500, matching Pinterest's standard image pin ratio, is the other safe choice if you want the video to sit at the same shape as your regular pins.

Quick tips
- 011080 by 1920 (9:16) reuses the same vertical master as a Reel or TikTok video.
- 02An organic video Pin runs 4 seconds to 5 minutes. The 15 minute, 2 GB limit belongs to Pinterest ads, not to organic Pins.
- 03Pinterest's web uploader takes .MP4 and .M4V; .MOV goes through the mobile app.
- 04Pinterest recommends square or vertical for video, so 9:16 or 2:3 rather than a landscape export.
