Terms of service
The plain-English version: use PixelSpec fairly, the tools run in your browser at your own risk, and the spec data is a reference, not a guarantee.
Using PixelSpec
PixelSpec is a free reference for platform image sizes and a set of in-browser tools (resizer, size reducer, aspect ratio calculator, thumbnail downloader). No account is required and none of it is metered. By using the site you agree to these terms.
Acceptable use
Use the site and its tools for their intended purpose. Do not try to disrupt the site, scrape it at a rate that harms the service, or use it to process content that is illegal, infringing or harmful. The JSON API is free to use in your own projects; please do not hammer it with unreasonable request volume.
Your content stays yours
Images you open in the resizer or size reducer are processed locally in your browser using the canvas API. We never receive, see or store them, so you keep full ownership and responsibility for anything you process here.
The spec data is a reference
Every size on PixelSpec is checked against the platform's own guidance and carries a last-verified date, but platforms change their recommended dimensions without notice. For anything business-critical, double-check against the platform's current help documentation before publishing. We provide the data as is and cannot guarantee it is error-free or perfectly current at every moment.
Third-party services and links
The YouTube thumbnail downloader reads public thumbnail images that YouTube already hosts; that request goes directly from your browser to YouTube's servers, and their own terms apply to that content. The site may also link to other tools and, where enabled, may show ads or use analytics served by third-party providers. Our privacy policy covers how that works.
Ownership
The PixelSpec name, design and the way the data is presented belong to us. The underlying facts, like a platform's recommended pixel dimensions, are not something anyone can own; our compiled, verified presentation of them is what we ask you to respect if you republish it, by linking back to the relevant page.
No warranty
PixelSpec is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost time, lost files or other damages arising from using the site or its tools, to the extent permitted by law. The service can change, be interrupted or go offline without notice.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site evolves, for example when a new tool or data source is added. The date below reflects the latest revision.
