Privacy policy
The short version: your images never leave your device, and you never need an account. Below is exactly what limited data we, and any analytics or ad services we use, may collect.
Your images stay on your device
Every tool on PixelSpec, the resizer, the size reducer and the rest, runs in your browser using the canvas API. Files you open are read locally and are never uploaded to a server. Closing the tab discards them.
The YouTube thumbnail downloader
This tool points your browser at the public thumbnail images that YouTube already hosts. We do not receive, store or proxy the video link you paste.
What we collect
We may use aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful, such as page views, approximate location and device type. We do not sell your personal data.
Advertising
PixelSpec may show ads served by third-party advertising networks, such as Google AdSense or Ezoic. When ads are enabled, these networks can set cookies or use similar technology on your device to serve ads and measure how they perform. If you are visiting from the EEA or UK, you will be asked for consent through a consent banner before any personalized ad is shown, and non-personalized ads may still appear if you decline.
If you would rather not see personalized ads, most ad networks offer an opt-out through their own settings pages, and your browser can block third-party cookies directly.
Local storage
We store one small preference in your browser: your light or dark theme choice. It stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
