About the WhatsApp status size
A WhatsApp Status image or video is 1080 by 1920 pixels, full-screen 9:16 vertical, and disappears after 24 hours like a Story. Because it is the same frame as Stories and Reels, vertical creative carries straight across. WhatsApp puts your name and the time at the top and a reply bar at the bottom, so keep the important part of your design in the middle band. For a photo it simply fills the screen; for a graphic, design edge to edge but keep text centred.
