LinkedIn's personal profile picture accepts a minimum of 400 by 400 pixels and a maximum of 7680 by 4320, displayed as a circle. Uploading exactly the 400px minimum is fine, but going larger, 800 by 800 is a good target, gives LinkedIn more room to downscale cleanly across the many sizes it needs, from a large profile header down to a tiny avatar beside a comment.
